Kiehls Ginger Leaf and Hibiscus Firming Mask: A quick review

Kiehls Ginger Leaf and Hibiscus Firming Mask: A quick review

What it is: A face mask that does the heavy lifting while you sleep to firm and smooth skin.

Beauty bonus: Skin was definitely smoother and softer in the am.

Beauty bummer: Definitely not for your best satin pillowcase, as we noticed this mask transfers.

Overall: This mask was an interesting, almost putty-like texture in the jar and remained the same on skin. We have used masks like this before, but once warmed on skin, they usually melt. This one absorbed a bit but stayed as a residue in skin.

Maybe we put too much on — in our early testing days we quickly learned we didn’t use enough product for desired results — so we packed this mask on pretty thick.

Next time (and, after the results we saw from just one use of this mask, there will be a next time!), we'll try going a bit more sparingly during application.

After use, skin was smooth and felt more full — springy, even. We noticed a change especially in the marionette line area of our face. #yay

Would recommend? Maybe. While results were nice, the transfer and consistency left us a little underwhelmed.
