Five outfits I'll be repeating this year

I'm definitely an outfit repeater.

Whether wearing the same pieces paired together again and again, or donning some subtle variation of said look with various garments — I can often be found wearing a similar look.

And I'm not mad about it. After all, repeated outfits help to dictate a person's personal style, establishing a pattern with pieces that are both easy to wear and easy to shop for when it's time to renew.

Here are five looks worn last year that I'll be wearing on repeat this year.

Monochrome moment

The above look, worn on holiday in Hawaii, features an H&M top and Ganni shorts that just happened to be the exact same shade. I also happened to have a Louis Vuitton BB Alma that's a very similar shade of orange to complete the look. I love a monochrome moment. It looks so elevated.

Five outfits I'll be repeating this year Kotn pants

Wide-leg trousers

A simple tank and trousers look feels so refined with a pleated, wide-leg pant like these ones from the Canadian brand KOTN. I wore this look during a trip to Paris and found it to be super comfortable to wear while also looking chic. The best thing about a look like this is you can easily dress it up by swapping out accessories and adding a stylish topper for an evening event.

Jeans + turtleneck

A pair of jeans and a lightweight turtleneck are honestly the two foundation pieces for 90% of my outfits. Last year, I dabbled with a few new denim fits, adding some wider-leg jeans into the mix. I judge the popularity of the pieces in my closet by how often they're packed for my work trips, and let's just say this combination always makes it into the suitcase.

Five outfits I'll be repeating this year bold blazer

A bold blazer

If you follow me, you know that I love blazers. I'd hazard to guess that I have more than two dozen in my closet. And I wear most of them in my regular outfit rotation. A good blazer is a wardrobe workhorse. My go-to is the Aritzia Agency style, but I also love this herringbone tweed iteration from the brand Ba&sh. My suggestion is to go for a style with a slightly oversized fit and a structured shoulder to ensure it works for you for years to come.

A maxi skirt/dress

I fell out of love with maxi-length skirt and dresses in past years. But, I'm back on with them. In a big way. I love a knit maxi paired with a soft cashmere sweater. It's a full #coastalgrandma moment, which is a look I really leaned into this year thanks to so much time continuing to work from home.
