Meet the (prairie) denim jacket of your dreams

 

I've always loved a good leather jacket. The timeless outerwear option can prove to be a workhorse in a wardrobe. 

While I typically stick pretty close to 'classic' styles, this Prairie Trucker Jacket from Levi's was simply too good to pass up. 

The medium-blue style features several eye-catching design elements including a peplum trim, puffed shoulders — and let's not forget the amazing collar. 

It's a statement-making style, for sure, which is why I chose to pair it with pretty staid pieces including grey trousers and boots. 

While this whimsical design may not become the most-worn denim option in my outerwear collection, I'll be sure to don in when I'm looking to add an element of something extra to my ensemble.
