The Hair Routine Balancing Shampoo and Conditioner: A quick review

The Hair Routine Balancing Shampoo and Conditioner: A quick review

What it is: A made-in-Canada, eco-luxe and clean hair care line that delivers superb hair results and only what hair needs — water, protein and oil.

The curated lineup of products can be curated to your individual hair needs.

Beauty bonus: Hair felt very smooth, voluminous and soft post use. Extra bonus? The tea tree and eucalyptus oils leave scalp refreshed and clean feeling.

Beauty bummer: None.

Overall: This hair system, inspired by the simplicity of the Brazilian approach to haircare, impressed us.

Our colour treated (OK, very bleached) locks are sensitive to shampoo changes. And we're happy to report that we didn’t feel any of the super dryness we usually do when we try new shampoos — thank goodness!

The directions are to use the treatment and then a conditioner, which confused us a bit. Make sure to follow the directions because the conditioner rebalances the pH of tresses after the treatment. The lather was just enough to make us feel like we were using a traditional shampoo but left us with wonderfully non-stripped hair.

Would recommend? Yes.

Price: $32 for shampoo and conditioner; $40 for the moisture treatment
