I have a very well-documented love for the Levi's Wedgie jeans. In fact, you can see me wearing them in several (read: SEVERAL!) posts here

With the Wedgie fit, I've found the straight cut in a size 30 works perfectly for my shape (I like to say it's hourglass with thick-ish thighs and a butt). And, when it comes to the Wedgie Straight, I prefer the 100 percent cotton because they hold their shape and don't bag out in unfortunate areas.

After reading up on the Ribcage, I wasn't too sure where I would fall on the size spectrum. The cut typically features a cotton-elastane blend of about 98 percent cotton and 2 percent spandex. But some of the reviews I came across were saying they fit small.

So, when I went to try them on, I took both a 29 and a 30 to the fitting room, as well as a 31.

I'm happy to report I found these jeans to fit true to my usual size. They have a higher rise than the Wedgie jeans, obviously, and I think that's what some people find too tight or uncomfortable. But, I felt they fit fine.

I really like that they have a straight fit through the thighs too, so they don't look too snug — and it gives them a bit of an added retro appeal.

I've worn these ones (which come with a detachable tie belt) a few times now and found they didn't stretch out too much. Just enough to provide a bit more breathing room, but not enough to look sloppy.

Overall, I think these are a great fit for fans of the high-waist look. They fit true to size, come in a variety of interesting washes, have a good length for taller people (petite ladies, you may need to hem/cuff them) and are pretty comfortable (as far as high-waisted denim goes).

So, yes, I would definitely recommend them. ;)
