What it is: From the Canadian cosmetics company, Annabelle, comes a collection of soft, buttery eyeshadows in a pastel colour story.
Beauty bonus: The shadows performed much better than we anticipated.
Beauty bummer: We found we really needed to apply a (very) generous amount of product to lids to achieve a consistent application.
Overall: We swatched these shadows on our hand and were skeptics, to say the least. With the muted pastel colour story, we thought we could maybe use them as a highlighter (they have a slight sheen to them). Turns out we were just not using them correctly.
With a heavy application, we got good colour payoff (remember, they are soft colours so don’t expect bold foil lids) and excellent staying power. We layered a darker shadow in the outer corners and called it a look. For a simple wash of colour or a good base, these performed very well.
