I had the opportunity to visit Cap Moderne (nee Cap Martin) last summer during an unforgettable stopover in the Cote d'Azur.
Already completely in love with the coastal region of Southern France, I was certain I would fall for any place I visited in the area.
But I never expected to fall so hard for this tiny strip of coastline boardering the Mediterranean.
Along with a pristine swath of sandy beach and eye-appealing abodes, the area is home to a brilliant white building set close to the sea, which was once the home of Irish design talent Eileen Gray. It's name: E-1027.
I toured around the home, which was built by Gray in the '20s, and was amazed at the quirky and inventive design elements and pieces, the murals by the artist Le Corbusier — not to mention the stunning gardens and views of the sea.
I hope you enjoy my snapshots as much as I enjoyed taking them. And, if you're ever in the area, I highly recommend booking a visit. Trust me when I say, it's worth it.
