Want to know one of the best things about having sisters? Sharing clothes and accessories.
Not only do I feel blessed beyond belief to have two of the best sisters a girl could ever ask for -- but they both happen to have immaculate fashion sense. Case in point: This stunning green Céline Phantom handbag.
It's my middle sister's latest acquisition -- so when I asked her if I could photograph it for an upcoming (and long overdue!) bag review (Stay tuned, there are some VERY interesting revelations to be had!) -- I couldn't help taking it for a lengthier spin.
Bag: Céline | Dress: H&M | Coat: Aritzia | Shoes: Rosegold | Sunglasses: Material Girl | Necklaces: Dear You, Pretty Things | Hat: Ardene
When the Etsy Canada team reached out to me about talking all things Etsy on Covet and Acquire, I was ecstatic. Not only have I been a longtime fan of the online marketplace, I also happened to know which Canadian jewelry brand I wanted to promote.
Enter OhKuol.
I have a serious love for gemstone jewelry -- especially amethyst and citrine -- and it just so happens that the duo behind the Vancouver-based line OhKuol Jewelry have a dynamite selection of pieces featuring these delicious stones.
I ordered this teardrop citrine ring with gold vermeil last week, it arrived a few days later ... and I literally haven't taken it off since.
I'm already planning my next purchase -- (Princess Pink Quartz ring, I've got my eye on you!)
If you haven't checked out their Etsy Canada shop yet, I highly suggest you do it -- NOW!

I've said it before and I will say it again -- I love leopard print. I really do believe it's the new neutral.
Whether it's because I feel a little wild when I wear it, or because it makes me think of fabulous Italian women lounging around in their Dolce and Gabbana -- I can't get enough of this print (or is it colour?).
From handbags to harem pants, I seem to have a little bit of everything in leopard print, including this fab silk blouse from Joe Fresh. And the added bonus? It's currently on sale.
Coat: H&M (last seen here) | Blouse: Joe Fresh | Skirt: Jones New York c/o | Heels: Christian Louboutin | Bag: Prada | Arm candy: Michael Kors, Vita Fede and J.Crew
You know when you first see an item and fall madly in love with it -- only to check the price tag and fall swiftly out of love?
That's exactly what happened between this Helmut Lang jacket and I. I wasn't prepared to pay full price, but was sure it would never last long enough in-store to make it to the sale rack.
How wrong I was!
I picked up this coat for almost 50% off just before Christmas (I know you're not supposed to be shopping for yourself during that time but I seriously couldn't believe my luck!).
Then, during the post-holiday sale period, this jacket began popping up in the sale sections of many websites.

I don't get it? Did I miss something? What's not to love about a soft, slouchy wool coat with biker details including an oversized collar and belt!? I still don't understand why people don't love this piece as much as I do -- and frankly -- I don't think I want to.
Jacket: Helmut Lang | Tank: French Connection | Jeans: Old Navy | Boots: Jeffrey Campbell | Bag: Celine | Jewelry: Michael Kors, Vita Fede, Alden Rae c/o Shut Up I Love This and Tiffany & Co.

What it is: NYC Expert Last Nail Color is a nail polish formula claiming to make nails 50% stronger and last up to 7 days.
Beauty bonus: Even with no topcoat, this nail polish maintained a high shine finish.
Beauty bummer: By day 4, our digits were showing the wear and tear of every day.
Overall: This product is a great value for the money.
While it didn't last the full 7 days it claimed to be able to, it did withstand the daily wear-and-tear pretty well. At about $3 a bottle, a few mani color choices won't break the bank.
Would I recommend: Yes
Price: Approximately $3
Where to buy: Drugstores and mass retailers nationwide
A predominantly red outfit gets me every time.
I mean, you can't wear this bold, attention-commanding colour without feeling like a total boss. Try it. I dare you to see if I'm wrong on this one.
And going head-to-toe in this hue takes it to a whole other echelon of cool I can barely handle it ... I hope you like it too.
Blazer: BCBGMAXAZRIA | Top: Forever 21 (old) | Pants: Old Navy | Heels: Zara (old) | Bag: Chanel | Bracelets (R): Charming Charlie (c/o) | Stack (L): Michael Kors, J.Crew,Vita Fede

Turtlenecks are kind of my jam right now. I seriously can't seem to get enough of them.
But, as I discussed in a previous post, finding one that has just the right amount of a cool-chic factor can be a bit challenging.
This sleeveless version -- from my fave brand Helmut Lang -- is a perfect example of a turtleneck gone totally right. In my eyes, it can do no wrong.
Beauty Bonus: The shampoo has a pleasant and fresh tea-tree scent that, when used, has notes of mint. It leaves your hair and scalp feeling light, clean and refreshed without an overly woodsy smell.
Beauty Bummer: At 250 mL, the bottle is quite small if you plan on using it daily and/or have long hair. Also, if you are the type of person who loves suds while soaping up -- you won't get them here.
Overall: I loved this product. As someone who uses shampoo on an almost-daily basis, when using the tea tree oil shampoo, I could extend the time between washes without sacrificing style.
My hair was light, bouncy and fresh.

Do me a favor and look past my Anne Hathaway-circa-The Princess Diaries hair and focus on the camel coat for a second.
I first saw this coat on one of my favourite fellow Vancouver bloggers, Jill Lansky of The August Diaries, and I instantly coveted it.
Though I attempted to show restraint -- and not be a copycat -- I knew I would eventually acquire it ... and sure enough, here it is.
I don't regret the purchase. Not even for an instant.
A classic camel coat in a frou-frou-free design never goes out of style. And as long as I can hold it together (it is only H&M, after all) I foresee myself getting a tonne of wear out of this topper for years to come.

There's something about wearing royal blue in the winter months that makes me feel like an ice princess. Add in a full tulle midi skirt and a few sequins and I'm elevated to queen status (in my mind).
Winter dressing can be such a chore -- so whenever I get the chance to don a bold, bright colour like this sweater's rich royal I totally carpe that clothing item and wear it.
PS: I'm happy to report that I'm still head over heels in love with my DIY tulle skirt.
