Looking for a way to up your wine game this patio season? Why not try wine ice cubes? (Yes, wine ice cubes!)

I recently tried this super-cute party idea using my favourite Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc and I was so pleased with how it all turned out.

The process to make the wine cubes is super simple ... and the best part? Your wine stays chilled as you sip it — and it doesn't get watered down or diluted as the "ice" melts.

Here's how to make these at home.

What you'll need:

1 bottle of white wine

1 silicon ice cube tray (preferably in an adorable shape such as diamonds!)

How to make them:

Fill the ice cube compartments almost to the top with wine. Pop the tray (carefully!) into the freezer for at least a few hours. Once the cubes have frozen (make sure they're not too slushy or they'll fall apart as you attempt to remove them from the silicone moulds), pour your wine and plunk in a few wine cubes. Serve and enjoy!
