We'll file this one away under the better late than never category. Or else we can blame it on Canada's notorious snail mail — but either way, here's our review of the January Birchbox selections.
What it is: A monthly delivery of beauty goodies completely customized to your needs and preferences.
This month's beauty box included:
Cucumber Breeze Soothing Mask
$21 (full size)
A cucumber sheet mask that help to minimize the appearance of fine lines and pores.
$20 (full size)
A texturizing spray that can be used on either wet or dry hair.
Candlenut Body Creme
$49 (full size)
A rich body cream that smoothes and hydrates skin with the power of candlenut (what even is that?!).
Delight Tony Tint
$6 (full size)
An ultra-pigmented lip stain from the popular K-beauty brand TonyMoly that offers a kiss of matte colour that lasts all day.
Dinoplatz Pearl Bay Highlighter
$40 (full size)
A megawatt highlighter cream that provides big results with just a bit of product.
Overall: As stated above, our January box arrived a tad late (read: in Feb.)
But the arrival of the pretty pink box was enough for us to forget about the delay.
We found this month's samples were a tad tiny — except for the Fave4 Texture Takeover spray, which was sizeable — but the products themselves were pretty great.
The texturizing spray was one of our faves of the month ... we especially loved how it could be applied to wet or dry hair. Bonus!
The Dinoplatz highlighter (currently sold out!) was another top pick. One small drop gave skin a golden glow that had our skin looking more fresh and healthy than ever. Hello, strobing!
And you can never go wrong with a good face mask. #amIright?
