East 29th Skincare: A quick review

East 29th Skincare: A quick review

What it is: A Vancouver-based inclusive skincare line that aims to promote care for both skin and self.

Beauty bonus: Lemon rind extract is present in all the brand's products — not only for the brightening and cleaning properties of the fruit, but also because of its positive mental clarity benefits.

Beauty bummer: If you're looking for a 13-step skincare lineup, you won't find it here. This homegrown brand keeps it simple with three products (for now): Verse Lotion Mist, Vital Serum, and Valia Cleanser.

Overall: We found these natural, clean-beauty products easy to incorporate into our skincare routine.

Our fave product? The lotion mist! With a light and hydrating formula, it felt more like a super toner for over our serum (if you're not using serum before your mist, you're mist-ing out!).

Skin was nicely prepped for the rest of our skincare. We even tried it as a finishing spray post-makeup application.

The Vital Serum was the runner up, with excellent absorption and a noticeable brightening effect.

Would recommend? Yes.

Price: $41-$88
