Alumier MD Clear Shield Broad Spectrum Sunscreen SPF 42: A quick review

Alumier MD Clear Shield abroad Spectrum Sunscreen SPF 42: A quick review

What it is: A paraben, phthalate, sulphate, chemical sunscreen and artificial fragrance-free sunblock from the derm brand Alumier MD that is also cruelty free.

Beauty bonus: Despite it being called a “clear” formula, we found it had a slight tint, which we found colour corrected our skin ever so slightly. (Nice!)

Beauty bummer: None.

Overall: As this sunscreen is a physical one (meaning it sits on skin) as opposed to a chemical one (which absorbs into skin), this may sway your decision. We find there is a time and a place for both options.

While this one would not necessarily be one we would grab if we were going to follow the application with a full face of foundation — but, we would grab this for a fresh-face kind of day where we go more minimal with the makeup.

The niacinamide and hyaluronate formulation helped this sunscreen feel very hydrating and calmed redness throughout the day.

Would recommend: Yes. For those who can’t wear chemical sunscreens, this is a good choice
