I've wanted to visit Sedona for as long as I can remember.

Long romanticizing the red-rock mountains of Arizona, I'm very happy to report that, having now seen them myself — they didn't disappoint. At. All.

My mom and I recently flew down to Phoenix for a three-day girls' trip that saw us drive from PHX to Sedona, to the Grand Canyon, on to Kingman and then finish in Las Vegas. It was amazing.

Sedona itself was such a highlight because of the vivid hue of the rocks I'd so dreamed about seeing. It was truly the most stunning shade of terracotta-red. I'm so glad I was able to do it justice in these snapshots.

If you make the drive, I'd recommend staying in the smaller village, a very short drive from the main Sedona strip, called the Village of Oak Creek. It's much quieter, less crowded (and expensive) — yet it's still so close to all the things that are so amazing about Sedona: the rock formations and mountains.

I hope these images convey just a bit of the joy I felt seeing the beauty of Bell Rock and the rest in person.

Happy Wednesday and thank you for stopping by!
