Givenchy Gloss Interdit Vinyl Noir Révélateur: A quick review

Givenchy interdit lip gloss 16 Noir Révélateur review

What it is: A shade-shifting lip gloss formula from Givenchy that uses your skin's own pH to create a customized lip colour.

Beauty bonus: The gloss applicator is excellent — soft and boasts a surprising shape. Nice!

Beauty bummer: We expected to get a soft pink hue using this gloss, but instead got more of a purple-pink shade. It was still nice and subtle, but if a ballerina pink colour is what you are after, and your chemistry is like ours, you may not get what you’re looking for with this gloss.

Overall: Don’t be intimidated by the black colour of the gloss and lipstick in the tube — the customized shade goes on pretty sheer despite the description of a medium-coverage colour.

With a smooth, non-sticky formula, this is one we keep reaching for in our makeup bags!

Plus, we love the luxe packaging.
Would recommend? Yes.
