I love the holiday season. It's such a fun and festive time.
While I appreciate how the season presents an opportunity to give (and receive!) wonderful gifts to friends and loved ones, what I truly enjoy about the holidays is how it brings people together.
And my main M.O. during these holiday get-togethers is to eat, drink and be merry.
While I love tackling complicated recipes for festive parties in the kitchen, I don't have a lot of skill when it comes to preparing drinks. So, I almost always end up serving wine and champagne.
But, this holiday season, I wanted to tackle a few mixed drinks. And that's why I was overjoyed to discover these super simple cocktail recipes using Georgian Bay Spirit Co. that each use only three ingredients and a garnish. It doesn't get much simpler than that. My personal favourite was the Smash Screwdriver, though the Aperol offering was a close second!
I plan to serve this at my family holiday party this year — and will likely enjoy them again for other events throughout 2019.

RECIPE: Smash Screwdriver
6oz Georgian Bay Vodka Smash
6oz Premium Orange Juice
Mint for garnish
Pour all ingredients in a stemless wine glass filled with ice. Gently stir and garnish with a sprig of mint.

6oz Georgian Bay Gin Smash
6oz Premium Ice Tea
Lime (or lemon) wedge for garnish
Pour all ingredients into a stemless wine glass filled with ice. Stir gently and garnish with a lime wedge.

RECIPE: Smash Spritz
4 oz Georgian Bay Gin Smash
1 oz Aperol
Prosecco
Pour all ingredients in a tall wine glass with one ice cube. Top with prosecco and enjoy!
