What it is: A collection of powder and liquid highlighters in a mix of classic and new shades.
Beauty bonus: Kat Von D's 10th anniversary collection (which we reviewed here) had a highlighter called Gold Skool — and we LOVE it. That same shade, along with a few more friends, shows up in this collection as well.
Beauty bummer: We didn’t love the Liquid Highlighter formula. It missed the mark for colour payoff.
Overall: These highlighters are on the chunkier side, glitter-wise. So, consider yourself forewarned. If that’s not you’re thing, these highlighters will likely be a pass.
For us, we like variety in our makeup drawer, so we didn’t mind the change up. After trying them as highlighters and not loving the initial result, we tried to use the liquid highlighters as shadow for a sheer, holograph look. Unfortunately, these didn’t pan out in that use, either.
But, the powder formula is much better, giving skin a full dose of colour and a heavy hit of shine. These highlighters make a shimmering statement!
Would recommend? The powders, yes!
