Monochromatic looks are endlessly chic — at least in my style books.
It's a trend that's been taking off most recently in the past few seasons again (as we all know, it's not exactly new!), but personally, I can date my appreciation for all things monochrome to my mom.
I remember she often wore tone-on-tone looks when I was growing up. Especially in navy blues and various shades of beige. And I remember, without fail, always thinking she looked SO chic.
So, as soon as I saw the tonal looks coming down the runways, I knew I'd be happy to try them out for myself. Ehem, maybe more than once. ;)
If only to prove that, yet again, mom was right. Of course she was!
