Roger and Gallet Le Soin Aura Mirabilis Face Collection: A quick review

Roger and Gallet Le Soin Aura Mirabilis

What it is: From the French fragrance and beauty house Roger and Gallet, comes a skincare regime inspired by the Aqua Mirabilis developed by monks 300 years ago. Using the essence of 18 special plants, this blend works to hydrate and smooth skin.

Beauty bonus: The scents of all of these products, particularly the face wash, is so fresh and pretty. It almost smells like a piece of fruit is being massaged onto the skin. Yum!

Beauty bummer: We like a cleanser that gets all the day's gunk off in one go. So, with this in mind, while beautiful smelling, the cleanser was too mild for us.

Overall: We love the fragrances in this French brand's product lineup. So, if you haven't tried one of their perfumes or body creams, trust us when we say, you're definitely missing out.

With this scent sentiment in mind, we were excited to try the latest skincare line.

The serum is an interesting concept, offering dual solutions in one bottle we shook together when dispensed. On skin, this serum is very light — think: a mix between a face oil and a water consistency serum. It absorbed very quickly leaving skin nicely hydrated. The Beauty Vinegar is a very gentle toner, quite fresh and cooling.

And, as for the cleanser, while we found it was nice, it wasn't quite enough for us to go back for more.

But the true star of this collection is the Legendary Balm (not pictured) a rich facial moisturizer that leaves skin smooth and happy!

Would recommend? The serum and Beauty Vinegar and, especially the balm, yes. The cleanser, probably not.
