Short (trench) story

Le Chateau Lauren's Closet trench coat spring outfit Vancouver fashion blogger

I've had an outfit like this, or a very similar iteration of it, on heavy rotation for several weeks.

Why? Well, allow me to explain ...

I have been all about duster jackets and long trench coats lately because I'm loving the effortless vibe of a popover topper.

That's what makes this Le Chateau woven trench coat such a staple for my spring wardrobe.

The cool colour means I'm forced to ditch my go-to black (yay!) while the classic cut means it's perfectly appropriate for both the office and the weekend.

In my opinion, trench coats like this one — much like black leather jackets, dark denim, camel coats and cashmere sweaters — are timeless additions to every woman's wardrobe.

At least that's what I keep telling myself as I tend to buy one after another, after another ... You get the picture.

Happy Friday and thank you for stopping by.
