I've always been a bit afraid of wearing white jeans.

Why? Well, they haven't always been the safest choice for those of us with "thicker" thighs.

But rather than avoid these chic skinnies altogether, I've gotten a little inventive with my styling.

Here are a few of my quick-and-dirty tips for wearing white jeans when you're a curvy gal.

1. Consider length. You don't want to go too short with your topper. I usually opt for a blouse or sweater with a longer hemline in back that can be tucked in at the front. I find this type of fit works best for creating visual interest — and camouflaging any rear issues.

2. Do a duster. Consider donning a duster coat or vest over your favourite white skinnies as I have above in order to create a super-streamlined look.

3. Show some ankle.  Proper length is key to ensure a flattering look when it comes to skinny jeans. You certainly don't want to have rolls of denim pooling around your ankles. As a general rule, one inch (approximately) above the ankle bone is a leg-lengthening and ankle-slimming rule for most people.

How do you style your favourite white skinnies?

Happy Wednesday and thank you for stopping by!
