Sangre de Fruta Voluptas Flower Nectar Face Oil: A quick review

Voluptas Sangre De Fruta Flower Nectar Face Oil: A quick review

What it is: A handmade-in-Vancouver brand that uses locally sourced active botanical ingredients to treat skin to a grounding experience free of toxins and chemicals. This product is cruelty free.

Beauty bonus: We are into supporting local beauty, and to have it be botanical-based, it's even better!

Beauty bummer: A little slower to absorb than other oils we've tried, this may be a night or winter formula because of the thickness.

Overall: We liked the feeling of this oil once absorbed but, as stated in the bummers, we found it a little heavier duty than other oils we've been using lately.

Editor's note: We heard back from the brand on this and they let us know the Voluptas range is actually their "richest" collection of face oils and, as such, is best suited for super-dry or "mature" skin types. :)

The scent was pleasant — not too strong — with rose Otto and lavender. Post-use, our skin felt smooth and hydrate ... a perfect base for the day's beauty regime.

At $114, it is a splurge, but the price per use (a little goes a LONG way!) makes it very economical.

Would recommend? Yes, hand-crafted, locally made AND good for our skin? It's a win-win-win — especially in the winter months when skin is especially weary.
Price: $114
