Paul and Joe Les Petits Noms d'Amour Anniversary Collection: A quick review

What it is: From the perennially precious brand, Paul and Joe, the Les Petits Noms d'Amour collection is filled with whimsical packaging and soft, pretty shades of colour.

Beauty bonus: The primer, with its candy-inspired colours, is fun to look at — and works well, too. We find primers on our skin often make blending difficult and leave us looking patchy. But this one emulsifies when dispensed and applies very evenly, leaving skin feeling prepped but not tacky or heavy.

Beauty bummer: The multi-shade eyeshadow is very pretty, but accessing just a single shade in the mosaic palette is a bit of a challenge. Also, the colour payoff is quite muted.

Overall: Half the fun of makeup is the packaging for us, and we DIE every time we see new Paul and Joe packaging and moulding of products. Why? Well, because it's always so cute!

The mood lipstick, in a cat form of course, turned lips a pretty, sheer bright pink that was perfect for spring.

This light and airy feeling carries through the entire colour story for the limited-edition collection, which is inspired by designer Sophie Mechaly's latest clothing collection. It really embraces the soft, fresh feel of the season.

Would recommend? Yes! The collection is full of cute (and colourful!) creations worth collecting — especially if you're a "cat person".
