I'm loving that oversized blazers are becoming a "thing" again. Although, some people (ehem, like me!) would say they never really went away in the first place ...

But regardless of whether they're back in or they've always been in, the fact is, they're super chic and easy to wear — with a few pointers.

Case in point: This ah-mazing oversized iteration from H&M.

While the piece is undoubtedly chic, it could swing dangerously close to '90s powers suit territory.

So, here are a few easy rules to follow when styling an oversized boyfriend blazer.

1. Fit is key. Sure, you want the piece to be oversized (that's the whole point!), but it should still appear tailored in the shoulders. You don't want to look like you're wearing your grandpa's blazer, after all.

2. If you're opting for a busy print (like mine!), go with a clean-lined silhouette. You don't want a cool pattern competing against quirky design elements such as pockets or an oversized lapel.

3. Keep it simple underneath. If you're scared of looking too bulky in an oversized blazer, opt for slimmer-cut pieces underneath such as skinny jeans and a form-fitting sweater or top. Gauzy tanks also look fab, in the warmer months, of course.

4. Lastly, revel in its versatility. A great blazer can be worn day and night over virtually any piece. Consider dressing it up with a sleek, figure-skimming midi dress and heels for an effortless appeal.

Happy Wednesday and thank you for stopping by!
