Shu Uemura Art of Hair Silk Bloom Restorative Collection: A quick review

Shu Uemura Art of Hair Silk Bloom Restorative Collection: A quick review

What it is: A hair collection for dry and damaged hair that includes a shampoo, conditioner and treatment mask (each sold separately).  The line harnesses the power of Argan Oil to smooth the hair fibres — and make it feel as soft as silk.

Beauty bonus: Post-use, hair was instantly more silky and tangle-free.

Beauty bummer: The masque doesn't smell the greatest — I found it didn't actually have much of a scent at all.

Overall: I was very impressed with the performance of this line.

I loved the silky smooth feeling of my hair immediately after use. Once dry, my hair felt healthier and looked much more under control than is usually the case. (Sigh, the pitfalls of frizz-prone hair!)

The formula feels gentle yet effective. I used this product line for the first post-dye wash and I was impressed that I didn't see any colour washing down the drain. Phew!

This Shu Uemura collection might just be a game changer for those of us who colour, heat style and overall wage war against our dry, damaged hair.

Would recommend? Yes! It made my just-dyed hair look even fresher post-wash. If that's even possible!
Price: Shampoo: $46 ; Conditioner: $56 ; Mask: $66
