If you follow me on Instagram, you know that I spent the better part of the last two weeks in New York City for fashion week.
While I shared most of my experience on social media and in the local newspaper, there were a few photos that I didn't share from my seven days in The Big Apple.
Here are some of my top shots — and accompanying top thoughts — from the Spring/Summer 2016 shows.
Oh, and check out my NYFW coverage including stories, galleries and videos for The Vancouver Sun here.
I took the long, long way back from the Tommy Hilfiger show.
A bright blazer gets matched with flash frames at Banana Republic.
Another shot from the Banana Republic presentation. I seriously want so many of the pieces from these collections!
A front-row view of the BCBGMAXAZRIA finale.
A much-needed mental health moment in Central Park. I find this greenspace so calming!
The only boyfriend I met while in NYC: the new CHANEL Boy.Friend watch was on display at the brand's temporary pop-up shop.
Stunning haute couture creations from CHANEL.
A line of black cars is a pretty typical sight in NYC, but especially during fashion week.
I felt so NYC when I looked out my hotel room and saw this rooftop view.
Quick food pit-stop at Darrow's in NYC. I existed on almost solely meal bars and apples during NYFW. It did wonders for my waistline ... but little for my mood. :P
I took the long way to the Hugo Boss show to take this snapshot in Grand Central.
The dynamic duo Lubov and Max Azria after the Herve Leger show.
Seated behind the lovely Lupita Nyong'o at the Hugo Boss show.
Beautiful baubles at the J.Crew presentation.
Finale at the Lacoste show. This presentation kind of renewed my interest in this brand overall! There were so many pieces to love.
Case in point: these amazing patent leather oxfords from Lacoste. #LoveatFirstSight
The computer I brought to work on ended up not working, so I had to go to the public library to file stories and video. The fact that it's such a pretty place to work from kind of lessened the blow. :)
I used each and every one of these items in this Banana Republic NYFW survival kit. The band aids were especially helpful after walking miles uptown, downtown and back again.
Island vibes at Tommy Hilfiger. I kind of fangirl-ed out when I saw Gigi Hadid walk the runway. #gorg
Last but not least, the bed that I saw way too little of at the Wyndham New Yorker.
Until next year!
