Fall's crisper days call for extra-cozy knits — and I don't mind one bit.
Don't get me wrong, I love summer, but I have never been one to mourn the loss of the sans-jacket weather.
Bring on the boots, sweaters, scarves and coats! Especially the coats.
In a soft, chunky knit and a sweet caramel colour, this tunic sweater checks all my must-have boxes for the season ... including a turtleneck, which is a style I've been wearing on repeat lately.
And the boots? Just a little something I picked up during my trip to Montreal. Equal parts sleek and chic, I've been wearing them pretty much since they left the store.
Happy Wednesday and thank you for reading!

I've always loved the idea of having a go-to store to stock up on clothing and accessories with each new season, and in the past few months, Le Château has become mine.
During a recent trip to Montreal, I had the chance to stop into (and shop, of course!) the Canadian company's flagship store at Le Carrefour Laval in Quebec.
The brightly lit and well-organized store is clean, easy to shop and absolutely packed with the best pieces the fashion company has to offer.
While shopping around the store, I couldn't help but make a list of the five must-have pieces that I discovered — which also happen to make up my shopping list for the coming season. :P
Happy shopping and thank you for reading!

But as much as I love sitting poolside sipping piña coladas, I'm not immune to bouts of body consciousness — so I often look for a chic coverup that makes me look stylish without feeling fully exposed.
And this one from Pia Rossini does just that.
It's flowy, fun and makes me feel totally fabulous! Now, who's ready for another round? :P
Check out more pics of my poolside shenanigans on Instagram.
Happy Friday and thank you for reading!

From a free T-shirt to a sweet vacay away — I'm always game to take a stab at a fun and free prize.
That's why when the Bench Canada team approached me to help promote their new #BenchAdventure and #AdventureWithUs contest, I happily agreed.
Why not show some love for a brand that has been so supportive of me (thank you, Bench team!) — while also spreading the word about a fun social-media contest with an ultra-rad grand prize?
Getting in on the contest action by snapping a few photos seems like a total no-brainer to me.
And the prize? A trip for two to Whistler, B.C. #gimmegimme
Check out some of the submissions so far:
Happy snapping and good luck!

I'm loving all things plaid for Fall/Winter 2014 — and these trousers are no exception.
But as much as I'm mad for plaid prints this season, I am still picking the pieces I buy with extreme care and caution. Why, you may ask? Because, honestly, plaid is one seriously tricky print to pull off.
In my experience, it can go from chic to shocking — frighteningly fast.
That's why I chose to pair these printed pants with a dark, classic knit and similarly hued accessories for a more understated take on the trend. I was on a sartorial mission to skip any possible golf-pant comparison.
And overall, I think it came out looking like me wearing plaid pants ... rather than the golfer version of me. :P

Pants: Le Chateau c/o (also love the ones here and here) | Sweater: Helmut Lang | Shoes: Zara (old) | Bag: Celine | Sunglasses: Ray Ban | Jewelry: Michael Kors, OhKuohl, Tiffany & Co.
There's nothing chicer than a basic black-and-white outfit.
It's clean, stylish, always on trend — and oh-so easy to put together.
Thanks to a perfectly slouchy sweater and relaxed-fit jeans, this Oreo-inspired outfit couldn't be any simpler, which is much appreciated because my schedule has been pretty crazy lately.
From work trips to vacations and collaborations, I'm feeling a little exhausted. So don't be surprised if my outfits are a lot like this one in the next few weeks. #easybreezy

One of my favourite e-retailers Shopbop is having a pretty sweet sale — so, you know what that means: It's time to go shopping!
You can use the promo code "FAMILY25" to score 25% off your order. #IwantItAll
Check out a few of my favourite picks on the site.
From the strength of my network of friends and family, to the unbelievable support I've had in my career and for my blog in recent years ... I want to say thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!
And Happy Thanksgiving, of course. :P
Hot on the heels of my trip to Las Vegas (check back later this week for picks from Sin City!), I'm wheels up and wings in the air again — this time headed for Montreal.
I've heard so much about this amazing city that I can't wait to check it out (when I have a few free moments in which I'm not working) – and shop it. (Obvs!)
Stay tuned for updates of my journey on Instagram and Twitter.
And thank you again for reading.

What it is: A line of shoe insoles specifically designed to add comfort and support to women's footwear.
Beauty bonus: Just about every woman has wished for a reprieve from the cramp and soreness of killer heels — and this range of tootsie savers ensures there is a style for virtually every type of shoe.
Beauty bummer: At more than $10 per pair, it would cost a pretty penny to outfit a serious shoe-aholic's entire collection with inserts.
Overall: As a high-heel lover I'm no stranger to shoe torture (umm, long Las Vegas nights, anyone!?).
But thanks to this comprehensive range of shoes inserts (there are styles for strappy sandals to knee-buckling boots to simple pumps — and more), I don't have to stuff toilet paper in the soles of my heels for added comfort anymore. (True story!)
My feet's favourites? The Comfort Insoles and the High Heel insoles, which are both clear, gel-like inserts that work to absorb the concussion to the ball of the foot, without crowding toes.
Truth be told, they're absolute life (er, feet) savers.
Would I recommend: Yes! These inserts are the difference between dancing all night and, well ... calling it a night.
Price: $11.49 to $17.49
Where to buy: Mass retailers

Chances are, if you follow me on Instagram and Twitter, you've seen my amazing new Bench Canada hoodie that I've been sharing pics of the past couple of days — because I've basically been living in it since I received it last week.
The personalized piece, which officially makes me one of the Team Bench Canada crew (stoked!), is super soft and cozy — while still being appropriate to wear while doing some of my favourite #24hourlife activities such as grabbing a coffee, working on my blog and riding my horse.
I'm sure I will be hiding out in it (read: recuperating) next week after I return from Las Vegas where I'm celebrate my older sister's 30th birthday! I'm pretty sure it's going to be one of those I-need-a-vacation-from-my-vacation types of trips. :P Wish me luck!
Have a great week and thanks for reading.
The weather in Vancouver has been so weird lately — cold one moment, then humid the next — it makes dressing a bit of a challenge.
That's why I've been finding myself reaching for versatile pieces such as this chunky knit sweater from Le Château.
From the wool blend to the rich bordeaux shade, it's cozy without being too stuffy and slouchy without being sloppy.
But just when I'm getting into the swing of fall dressing, I'm heading to Las Vegas for a week of fun in the desert sun. (Cue: summer clothing revival!) Not that I'm complaining.
Happy Monday and thanks for reading, lovelies!
