Beauty bonus: This product has a nice assortment of colours for creating the perfect look and also includes a bonus kohl pencil and primer.
Beauty bummer: The included instruction book is rather detailed and requires the use of a vast array of makeup brushes (none of which are included) combined with a practiced hand to accomplish the looks.
Overall: The appeal of having an instruction book is a siren song for this palette, but even with the added assistance, many of the looks are a tad difficult to master if you're not a makeup pro.
Also, seeing as dramatic eyeshadow tends to go from dreamy to drag queen with a few misguided sweeps, a bit a practice is required to perfect the application process.
Would recommend: MAYBE. If you are intermediate to advanced at applying dark eyeshadows, then this is a fun palette. However, if you're a smokey eye novice, this collection and in-depth instruction manual may not be for you.
