San Francisco: At a glance

San Francisco, California

I know sharing your travel photos has become de rigueur for fashion bloggers thanks to social media, but I can’t help feeling it’s a tad bit self-indulgent.
I mean, do readers really care about what your hotel room looked like and what you ate for breakfast, lunch and dinner?
Nevertheless, I felt compelled to share a few snapshots from my recent trip to San Francisco. (Hypocritical, I know.)
I love San Francisco. Apart from the pesky fog, it warms my travelling heart to (nearly) the same degree as New York City.
From the diverse shopping selection to the delicious diners and restaurants, I can find something to fill every minute of my time in this colourful city.
If you haven’t been there – you should definitely make plans to go.
Here are a few pics from my recent weekend getaway.

Chanel GST with gold hardware
It's amazing how something that costs $10 can have so much more personality than something that costs thousands.
The Palace Hotel in San Francisco
The dining hall of The Palace Hotel -- talk about glamour!
The Palace Hotel in San Francisco
The view out my hotel window. I'm a sucker for neon lights.
San Francisco Goyard Covet and Acquire
No trip to San Fran is complete without a trip to see (OK, drool over) Goyard travel cases.
Steve Madden Grizz boots
These boots are made for walking -- literally. I wore these Steve Madden Grizz boots straight out of the box and didn't have any tourist's blisters after! *praise*
Market Gimlet at The Pied Piper in The Palace Hotel San Francisco
This just may be the perfect summer sip: The Market Gimlet from the Pied Piper bar is made of organic cucumber vodka, muddled cucumbers, lime juice and California tarragon-infused agave - delicious!
San Francisco food from Boudin Bakery, In N Out and Sift Cupcakes.
My trip became a bit of a food tour when I stopped in to several of San Francisco's must-eat spots including Boudin Bakery, Sift Cupcakes and In N Out. (OK, I know that last one's not SF-specific, but I love it.)
Roses in The Palace, San Francisco lobby
A little lobby luxury at The Palace Hotel.

San Francisco's Golden Gate Bridge
A sight to behold: The Golden Gate Bridge in the oft-present fog.
San Francisco Fisherman's Warf, streetcars and more.
Quintessential San Fran snapshots from the Fisherman's Wharf.
San Francisco City Hall
A look at the gilded dome of City Hall.
A selection of fruit and flowers from the San Francisco Farmer's Market at the Embarcadero.

With a seemingly endless number of stalls stuffed with crafty goods, fresh flowers and even fresher foods, the city's Farmer's Market at the Embarcadero is always a great place to get lost for a few hours.
